Tanzania Police Force as one of the Hanns Seidel Foundation key partner in Tanzania, presented to Hanns Seidel Foundation team the project's progress, challenges, and way forward.

In this meeting Tanzania Police Force was represented by Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police (SACP) Mr. Engelbert Kiondo and Emanuel Buko-Assistant Superintended of Police (ASP). The representative from the civilians included the facilitators of the Citizen Friendly Policing (CFP) Project, Dr. Kevin Mandopi, the former commissioner of the Commission for Human Rights and Good Governance (CHRAGG) and currently the lecturer at the Institute of Judicial Administration-Lushoto and Elijah Kondi, the lecturer from the University of Dar es Salaam.

The partnership between Tanzania Police (TPF) and Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) started since 2007 when Tanzania Police Force and Hanns Seidel Foundation designed and implemented police reforms in Tanzania. The key achievements of this partnership included among others, the establishment of the Community Policing Commission in Tanzania Police Force, whose roles and responsibility are stipulated in the Police General Order (PGO) and incorporation of the community policing program which uses the citizen friendly policing philosophy in the 2020 CCM Manifesto.  CCM being the ruling party in Tanzania has adopted the community policing philosophy in governing the  country which is a milestone for HSF and TPF.
