Strategic Meeting

The Tanzania Police Force (TPF) and the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) held a strategic meeting on December 8, 2023. The meeting took place at Hanns Seidel Foundation conference hall. In his opening remarks, Mr. Karl-Peter Schönfisch, HSF Resident Representative, emphasised the importance of strategic meeting to reflect financial setbacks experienced globally. The current budget planning for 2024 should reflect this reality.

Mr. Elisante Olumi- Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), who is the new Chief of Community Engagement, was introduced to all team members. In their presentation, TPF highlighted their 2023 accomplishments, which included improved community-police ties and reduced crime rates countrywide, among other achievements.

In the spirit of reducing the budget to reflect reality on the ground, it was critical to prioritise the beneficiaries to be reached in the 2024 implementation plan.
