A Warm Welcome and Fond Farewell at Hanns Seidel Foundation-Dar es Salaam Office

Hanns Seidel Foundation team in Tanzania welcomed the incoming Resident Representative, Mr. Frank Gollwitzer and bid farewell to the outgoing Resident Representative, Mr. KarlPeter Schoenfisch. In attendance of the welcome and farewell ceremony was Mr. Klaus Liepert, Head of Africa Department, from Hanns Seidel Foundation Headquarters.

During his speech, Mr. Liepert emphasised that  Hanns Seidel Foundation in Tanzania is the team members who uphold the Hanns Seidel Foundation values, culture and attitude that is expected by the foundation. In Tanzania, the team has proven ownership of the spirit of Hanns Seidel Foundation and I am very proud of that. In these few remarks, Mr. Liepert welcomed Mr. Mr. Frank Gollwitzer to take over the role of Resident Representative for Tanzania and Uganda. Regarding the outgoing Resident Representative, Mr. KarlPeter Schoenfisch a word of thank you for tireless efforts to accomplish the great work in Tanzania. Mr. Schoenfisch kept the team together, and he put the interests of the team first, that is why he kept all the staff members today. Mr. Liepert concluded by expressing the high regard HSF holds for Mr. Schoenfisch's valuable contributions over the years. 

On behalf of the Hanns Seidel Foundation team, Ms. Kadele Mabumba gave a welcome note by thanking Mr. Liepert for guidance throughout the years. She wished Mr. Liepert and Mr. Schoenfisch the best of luck as they are retiring soon, wishes of good health, and new opportunities while in their retirement. Ms. Mabumba also emphasised that HSF being a traditional organisation, gave its staff a chance to grow from within. Giving her own example on how she grew from her original field to   program management field. In this way she urged the team members to have good attitude to take the assignment the organisation needs to fulfil while growing within the organisation.
